I've actually thought about taking her to a chiropractor! I go to one every month and swear by it. I was there yesterday and was thisclose to asking him if he worked on babies...maybe I'll call him and ask.
Her pedi mentioned that her neck was "tight" on one side at her last check. He said it was from looking to the right so much when she sleeps, which she does.
Re: **joseys**
Oh, good! I know a lot of people don't believe in chiropractic, so I don't suggest it here often, but I know how miserable it is having an unhappy baby. My chiropractor is very gentle; the adjustments basically feel like a hard push of your finger. Kids are also very easy to treat, and usually one have to go a couple times because they heal so much quicker than adults.
The two "tests" that he does on babies are 1. He holds them upside down from their feet. Their body will turn to one side, indicating something is out. 2. He pushes their butt cheeks together, and if their little crack is not straight, something is out. After an adjustment, you can see the change. It amazes me, really.
Oddly enough, according to my chiropractor, the areas in the neck are connected to temperament and the ones in the mid-back are connected to their digestive system, and both of those areas are where Cohen had issues. Cohen preferred to lay on one side all the time, and it was really affecting his neck.
This summer, Rory had an unexplained fever for close to two weeks. I took her the same time I took Cohen, and within 24 hours the fever was gone. Coincidence maybe, but I really do believe in it. It has been great for her asthma as well.
I definitely recommend it! Hope that helps, and bless your heart, I hope things get better!
