From personal experience, I think there are different degrees of BH. You may feel just tightening around your belly for a few seconds, or you may feel that accompanied with a cramp or two here and there. I felt both types with my last two babes. They usually aren't painful, either. (I use the term "usually" loosely).
Does anyone else's BHs make them feel like they can't stand/sit up straight? Just curious b/c I never hear anyone describe that part of it and I find that the worst aspect. Thanks:)
I can feel my uterus tighten, if I press with a few fingers on my belly it feels rock hard. They never last long and there's never any pain or discomfort for me. I'm practicing the Hypnobirthing method so when I get BHs I learned to practice my relaxation methods and breathing. Gets me ready for the real surges that are to come.

Re: What does BHs feel like?
Mine feel like a brief tightening across the abodmen--usually lasting about ten seconds or so.
I didn't have any Braxton Hicks with DS, but get them this time when I'm running around a little too much.

Braxton Hicks. Practice contractions basically. It's your uterus contracting.
