Maybe it is just me but I know 3 people who have had boys in the last 3 months and all 3 of them are Evan! I love the name and had it on my list b/c it didn't seem as popular but it is the only name I've been hearing lately!
It is in the top 10, so while it may not be used as much as Jacob, it is still used quite often. Plus, some names are more popular depending on your area. So while Jacob may be #1 over all, Evan could be the #1 in your state or region.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I named my DS Evan in early 2008 right before it really took off in popularity. I admit I'm annoyed. I had picked it out years ago when no one used it. Grrr. But I think it's still in the 30s in the SS website.
