Just curious because if i go into labor on my own my dr will let me try vaginal.. I am soooooo PETRIFIED of a c section.. Not the surgey itself, just the recovery time Crying

Re: did anyone ...

  • Just curious, why can't you be induced?  If I was allowed to go vag if I went into labor on my own, there is NO WAY I'd just jump to a c-s, but thats me.  I had vaginal for all 4.  I was 2+ cm for over a month with DS.....and for about 2-3 weeks with DD/twins.
  • Can you opt to be induced and try for a vag. vs. going in for a scheduled c/s?(Are babies vertex?)

I really wanted a vag delivery and so my dr. induced me for a vag (I was totally effaced but zero cm dilated)... B actually started blocking A in my birth canal and my dr. had to convert a c/s after all...

GL and hope you get to deliver as you wish!

  • my dr says its my choice becasue yes, both babies are vertex, BUT they share a placenta and he says it poses a risk for baby b.
  • i cant answer your question, but i had a c-section and i can say it surprised me how fast i recovered. i was in the hospital for three days and only took the motrin because i didnt want to feel drowsy. by the time i got home i only took it to sleep at night. now i have never had a vag. birth, but from what i hear and my experience i cant think the pain recovery time has to be much worse for the c-section. GL.
