Any Honda Element owners around?

I'm very scared about the whole convertible car seat, rear-facing in this car.  I love my Element, but the suicide doors have not been very fun with the infant seat.  It will be nice to not have to get the seat in and out, but I still got to get the kid in and out of the damn thing!

Just curious how bad it is once you change car seats.

Re: Any Honda Element owners around?

  • I know this question is really old, but I got rid of my Element about a month after he switched to the convertible car seat. It was nearly impossible to get L in and out of the convertible seat. I have a CRV now and I am much happier. (I am planning on keeping L rear-facing until 40 lbs)

  • We have both an Element and a CR-V. The infant seat in the Element was murder! The convertible is OK- H drives the element and he gets in the back seat with DD (actually sits down) and puts her in, not unlike how we put her in the seat in the CR-V. I think the convertible is easier than the infant seat in my opinion- the infant seat was always getting stuck on the seat unless it was all the way forward, etc. I love the element and it's very safe, but the Cr-V is certainly easier.
