ANOTHER F_ING STUDENT!!!!

I JUST GOT AN EMAIL ABOUT THE ADDITION OF ANOTHER STUDENT TO MY LARGEST CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

WHAT DOES THE MORONIC ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE FACT THAT MY CLASSES ARE ALMOST DOUBLE THE OTHER SCIENCE TEACHERS!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!

    How many students do you currently have? I teach 1st grade, and I've got 44 kids and one parent volunteer. And our superintendent is so awesome, she was quoted in almost every local paper that class sizes "in all our schools, in grades K-8 are down to 25 in each room." I guess she forgot about our school. Idiots.

    This!!! 

    I now teach 122 students per day vs. the other gen ed science teacher (who was also given a student teacher - for the entire year!!) who teaches 94 students!!!!  

    At this point, between the pregnancy, the threats towards the baby, the bullsh-t with class sizes and a worthless "team" teacher that does nothing - I'm so OVER IT!!!!!! (Oh, and the furloughs that will reduce my salary by over $1800 this year)  I'm just DONE!!

    Kimtriz, I'm guessing you teach in the city because I do too and its a joke! I was actually praying for the school that I am at to be on the renaissance list. But it didn't happen:-(

    Take it as a compliment that you are a great teacher and your AP only wants the best for the new students. (I force myself to think this when I get a new kid and it is not my turn.)

    It was things like the things that have happened to you... threats, useless administraters... that led my DH to quit teaching after a year and a half. Anybody that can stick it out is a hero in my book.

    This is my 9th...I was hoping for at least 10...don't think it's going to happen though!!

    You have 44 kids in one first grade class? That's outrageous! Aren't there legal guidelines to class size? Wow.
