Anyone get a bill for part of your ultrasound? I got a bill for 110 dollars as part of my deducitble (so it will be coming out of the $2,500 we have to pay for an inpatient hospital stay for the delivery of the baby). BUT, I have never heard of this, anyone else?

Re: Bill for portion of ultrasound? Anyone?
I had to pay a portion of my second ultrasound... and then a portion of my anatomy scan (almost $300) but those two bills alone met my deductible, so everything after this *should* be better.

I've had four ultrasounds up to this point, but I've only paid $40. The first ultrasound was at 10 weeks in office at my OB/GYN's. Though my insurance doesn't cover in office ultrasounds, the dr. did it informally at one of my routine visits so they could see the baby for themselves. They didn't charge me for it and just considered part of the routine exam.
The second was for my integrated/sequential screen for Down's, etc. I had to pay a $40 co-pay for the test, but that's it.
The third was my formal ultrasound at 21 weeks, which didn't cost me anything. I did have to go to an outside radiology facility though b/c my insurance requires it.
I had a fourth ultrasound last week at the OB/GYN's office because I was experiencing bleeding and they wanted to get any idea why. They also didn't charge me for that because they considered part of the routine exam.
I have an advanced ultrasound at the hospital this week because of the bleeding and that's suppose to be free too.
I guess it really depends on your insurance. If you have any concerns, you can always call your insurance and they will let you know what is covered.
