If you came home from church on Sunday and your yard was in flames?

Flames caused by your neighbor to the left of you burning his tree stumps?

 

 

My neighbors across the way came home to their lawn on fire! DH and a few other neighbors were stamping it out while the fire department came to finished the job.

The grass will grow back. I'd just be happy my house didn't burn down. My friend's husband was burning some leaves or something and it got out of control & burned the neighbor's yard. He felt awful.

forgot to mention they have a 24 zone sprinkler system.. 11 heads/pipes were hit.

I'd be annoyed, but relieved the flames didn't get the house.  I'm sure the pyro's homeowner's policy will cover the damage, right?

Oh, nice.  They are going to have a nice green yard this spring, but seriously that could have gotten out of control in a hurry.

Could you imagine if you were responsible for burning down your neighbor's house?

I would be upset that they were so careless but glad that the dead grass was burned. I am trying to talk DH into doing that to our grass.

I'd make him replace the sprinklers, that's for sure.

We burned off the grass in our drainage ditches by burning leaves in the fall, and it was the best thing we did. They were all nice and green and weed free last summer.
