What to do with a Boston Butt?

They're on sale this week at Kroger.  I don't want to make shredded sandwiches.  How do you cook yours?

  • I was planning on coming in here and posting my pulled pork recipe.  haha

I really don't know what else to do with one.  Sorry!  I'm no help!

  • I use an 8lb boston butt

    2 cups ginger ale

1 sliced onion (if you like onions in your bbq)

    16-24oz bbq sauce

cook on low for 8 hours

    drain ginger ale

pull apart and mix with bbq sauce

optional- cook on low for 1 more hour to meld flavors

    It's really simple, but good!

  • Wait, so all you cook it in is onions and Ginger ale? Then at th end, once it's drained, you add BBQ sauce?
