Exciting birthing class!

We had an all-day birthing class today, and took a dinner break about halfway through. The woman sitting next to me took that time to visit her friend upstairs who had just delivered a baby. When we came back from dinner, she didn't return. A little later her husband came in to get their stuff, and told us her water had broken in the elevator on the way up! She was due the week after me.

Needless to say, I will be packing my bag tonight. DH was totally shell-shocked!

Oh, and by the way, the class was very helpful and informative, even though I've been reading books and stuff and sucking up knowledge like a sponge. It was taught by a doula and wasn't dumbed-down for people who have no clue what goes on during pregnancy.

I am also very excited this coming weekend we are at the hospital for our prenatal classes as well as breast feeding classes. It will be another thing we can cross off our list becuase we will be that more ready to welcome our baby.
