Heating pad?

So I know i shouldn't use a heating pad on my belly, but I am having a lot of pain in my SI joint in my left butt cheek and am wondering if it is safe to use a heating pad on my butt?  Sounds ok to me, but I just wanted to check!  I have been having this problem for a few weeks and it gets worse when I run more frequently.

What do you ladies think?

I think that's alright, as long as it's away from your core.

My chiro won't even let me use a hot pack on my back.

They said it was too close to the baby and to my core. I just said ok, didn't really ask any additional questions. They let me have massages, so that's all I care about.

I use a heating pad on my lower back/butt area on a low setting and it seems fine. It makes everything feel so much better...and he is still moving around in there!

oh and I note that my chiro heating pad is NOT adjustable in the temperature. It's one temperature. HOT. So that could be why.
