Holy crap! That movie was so scary for me!! I never watch them and this one sure put the icing on the cake as to why I don't watch them. It still gives me the heebee jeebies! I know, I'm a wuss.
I would not have thought it was scary if I didnt live in the house I currently live in and have similar experiences- eek! Not like the major things but small things, like stuff being on the floor that was put away, doors open that we know we closed, DD's toys randomly going off, catching glimps of of things that shouldnt be ther etc etc... now I'm not sure if I believe in ghosts and all of that (although I lean towards that they are real) and I dont believe in demons but either way I told DH we are not doing ANYTHING that could be considered investigatory or in any way provoking- just in case!
My 2 girls, both born on a Friday the 13th, are exactly 2 years, 2 months, 2 hours and 2 minutes apart! And Baby Boy joined us October 11, 2013!
The end was probably the scariest part. DH and I saw it in the theater. It was playing next to the Michael Jackson "This Is It" movie and during all the really quiet parts we could hear Michael Jackson singing!
Live your life to the fullest, Laugh at the things that don't matter, Love with all you've got and more.

In your situation...I would refuse to watch it. I watched it for the first time last night and I wasn't expecting greatness, so I wasn't disappointed.
Oh my goodness, it was a scary movie.. Maybe it is because i've been watching too much of "The Haunting".
OOOH! I used to watch that EVERY DAY! Until I realized I had already seen most every episode! hahah
But I went and saw Paranormal Activity when it first came out and I had just found out not long before I was pregnant. I was so worried that me being scared would put stress on the baby, so I sat through the whole movie and watched the bottom left part of the screen! ahhahaha
We just watched this one last weekend and it scared the crap out of both of us! We screamed at one part so loud that our dog jumped up from a dead sleep and ran out of the room.

OMG!! Same thing with me! I had my hands over my eyes for the majority of the movie lol
