Someone said, "I need to have a baby right before summer.  If I had to deal with rain and dreary weather I'd get PPD no doubt.  The sunny days keep PPD away."

Wow, I didn't realize that the sun is a cure/prevention for PPD!!

I get the whole weather/depression correlation.  I live in the NW for pete's sake.  SAD is quite common here.

But sun preventing PPD?  Obviously PPD has nothing to do with hormones! 

And with that, I'm out.  Nite!!

Wow. That's so ignorant.

 I had PPD with my first daughter and she was a March baby. We had lots of warm sunny weather after she was born.

Maybe she's confusing PPD with SAD?

Well, light therapy does help SAD.  And if you are prone to SAD, the baby blues or PPD on top won't help.  So I understand what she was trying to say.
