FB problem

I just don't get. If I look at my facebook from my desktop & click on the left side "friends" or "see all", it does nothing. Also if I go to privacy settings> profile info, the only thing I can edit is photo album. The edit boxes are missing from everything else.

Meanwhile I go to Dh's laptop & everything is fine. I am PO'd because I want it fixed & getting their support is impossible. So I am wondering if any of you possibly encountered anything like this? Robyn, you seem to be quite computer savvy, any ideas?
