It is freezing in florida today!

And our heat is out. My toes are frozen and penny is dressed up like a little snow bunny. I tried to light a fire in our fire place...which we havent used in a while...and when I tried to open the flew (sp?) I broke the handle. The older kiddos are stuck inside because it is also raining. We made cookies and baked a cake for DH's birthday today.

 

And now everyone (DH included) is"boooooared!" and needs "to dooooo something!" (all said in whiny voices)

I told them we should clean the house...I told tem house cleaning was fun...they aren't convinced! lol

any ideas ladies (i am seriously this close *holds up finger and thumb inches away from each other) to making a family trip to the mall...Just to get them out of the house! lol

my parents live down there and have felt the same way about the neverending cold spell!  Hey its got to be better then our 8 inches of snow!  I'm coming down to visit with DS in the middle of March...it better warm up!

In Florida also, and I am over the cold.  I know all you ladies up north have it so much worse than us, but we aren't used to this cold!  I want my hot, sunshine state back!

every time my MIL calls and tells us that it's cold, we laugh at her. she lives in boynton beach and right now it's 69. she would think it's freezing. when i had visited back in october, i was dressed for summer and people were walking around with sweatshirts on and jackets. I was like seriously??? I guess you guys get used to the extreme heat so 69 does feel cold. I could send some of the 21 inches of snow that we got down there! lol

What part of Florida? ?It's about 55 here in the Tampa Bay area (Tarpon Springs) ?but it's not that bad. ?I'm wearing flip flops and a dress with a shrug. ?Of course, maybe the 25 extra pounds of chub I'm still carrying from my pregnancy is keeping me warm...?
