Trying to Get Pregnant

NGPR: Runners come in!

Please recommend your running shoes  I've had my current ones for a couple months and they are really starting to hurt my feet.  I'd like to know what others are wearing.

 TIA!

  • Nike Shoxs - Navina. Love love love them! athough i've only had them a little while and my friend who has them says that they broke down fast for her (she runs at least everyday)

  • Have you been fitted for shoes?  Since everyone's feet and running styles are different, I recommend going to a real running store (not a mall store or DSW, etc) and have them fit you.  They'll watch you run, measure your feet, and pick the best one for you.

My feet were in heaven once I finally did that.  It seriously saved them.

And invest in some nice socks, too.  Even when running in my good shoes, if I wear junky socks my feet do not fare well.

    GL!

  • Thanks for all the suggestions!
  • I've been wearing Nike for the last year.

Recently one of the running coaches at The Running Room told my sister that we should try wearing Converse sneakers (yes, those terrible shoes everyone wore in the 90s)once a week for a short run and gradually work up to wearing them 2 -3 times a week for slightly a longer period of time each run.

The theory is that running bare foot is actually better for your joints and less cushioning is closer to running bare foot.

I haven't tried it yet, so I can't guarantee that it is better, I just thought it was an interesting idea.
