I think Twitter is dumb.  I don't understand wanting to follow someone's every day activities and thoughts and I don't have any interest in posting mine

I still don't understand twitter, but I am using it. I don't do it everyday nor follow it everyday. I also can't stand FB but I use it on rare occasions too.

I miss Myspace but haven't been back over there in ages.

I think it's mostly useful for following news feeds and people with blogs.

People who just tweet random shiit all the time? Annoying.  Following news feeds so I know when schools have a delay or are out and so I know what is going on in the world?  Useful.

Honestly, I was the SAME way. I have a login that I used to Tweet my labor for you all, but I thought it was REALLY stupid.

Then I joined it to help promote my Examiner articles and I LOVE it. If you follow the right people, people involved in what you're interested in, you get a LOT of great information. I've learned a TON. People post smart and insightful articles, interact with each other much like we do here, and are INCREDIBLY helpful. One woman, for example, taught me a ton about web design, just because she is nice.

I also am part of a HUGE group of women called Mamavation that use twitter to encourage each other to live a healthy lifestyle. It's great! We tweet about our workouts and congratulate each other, remind others to drink their water, etc. 

If there is something specific you are interested in, say, photography, or writing, or technology - it's a great thing, really.

I feel the same way. I just dont get Twitter. I dont care enough about anyone to know they just opened a can of tuna or that they are having the best lunch ever.

I tried it, but couldn't get into it.  I don't have many interesting things to post about (although it seems that the majority of others using it don't either).

I would love to know whose accounts you guys are following. People who tweet about opening tuna? Their every thought and action? You'd hate books if you only chose those by authors who couldn't write their way out of a box with holes, and you'll hate Twitter if you follow boring/overzealous tweeters. Most of the people I follow give me funny/smart/interesting nuggets to read through the day.
