Fun poll: where does your DC hide "toys"

Yesterday G stole my computer mouse and when he was done "playing" with it, he tossed it between the couch pillows. It took me awhile to find, but I got some great advice of where to look from my FB friends.

So... for a fun Friday activity, where does your DC hide things that you will need later? And, (bonus points) what's the most important thing they've stolen/hidden?

Re: Fun poll: where does your DC hide "toys"

  • Nick and Laci hide things EVERYWHERE!  In the couch cusions, under the couch, in the cabinets in the kitchen, their toy box, the drawers in our coffee table and I even found a toy in the fridge one time!

bonus:  Nick found DH's wedding ring when he took it off to put gel in his hair.  We could't find it for 3 months!

  • She likes to hide things in the kitchen cabinets. It's always amusing to pull a toy out of the blender.

bonus: Months ago she hid my token that I need to connect to my work network when I work from home. We tore the house apart looking for it. I have a feeling it got "hidden" in the kitchen trash can.

  • Natalie hides things in her kitchen, usually in the refrigerator.

She also has taken to filling bags with things, she has a bunch of little purses and diaper bag things and she fills them with all kinds of stuff....usually my stuff.

She hid my cell phone a while back but luckly it still had enough battery to call it and of course it was in the refrigrerator.

  • Miles isn't mobile enough yet to be too dangerous, but every time I lift him out of his carseat, there's a little shower of surprises.  He tucks stuff into that nook between little leg and the carseat.
  • C never hides stuff like that.  It's just not his thing.  If he is playing with a non-toy item, he puts it back or gives it back when he's done.  So he puts Gramma's wallet back in her purse or hands me back my phone.
  • S has taken to dropping things into the toilet.  We really need to get toilet seat locks!  She put my blackberry in the garbage once...but I saw her do it, so I guess it wasn't really hidden.

This now has me convinced that C is not a regular toddler but a space alien.

No, but my dog does. :D

    And where do they go?

I was going to say that my kid is an odd duck but it seems like I say that every single day on here so I refrained.

He really is odd, isn't he?

Ha ha, S does the same thing. She's not into hiding things. She just leaves her toys all over the place or gives us back the non-toy stuff.

I'm convinced S and C were separated at birth.

  • M loves stuffing her footsie PJs.  She thinks it's just one big pocket.  She has a hard time walking around but still stuffs things in there.  The worst thing she does is stuff her crayons in them.  I now turn her PJs inside out when I do laundry because we've had 2 loads covered in crayons.  S doesn't really hide things anymore but sometimes she helps M out.

M hid my debit card in her room one time.  She loves playing with my wallet.  I give her used gift cards but she only wants the credit and debit cards.

Me too.  :)  He also leaves his actual toys EVERYWHERE.  A car here, a hockey stick in the kitchen, a robot in the bathroom.  He likes to see all his stuff at one time.  Thankfully DH or my mom help him clean up before I get home. He likes to help put stuff away -- one tiny toy at a time.
