Every once in a while I'll use Listerine Whitening pre-rinse for a week or two and then stop. I find it to work pretty good, and my teeth don't get all sensitive.

I used Crest whitestrips for a few weeks before my wedding. They made my teeth pretty sensitive too, but I switched my toothpaste to Sensodyne for a bit and that helped.
My teeth are too sensitive. But I use a peroxide as a mouth rinse and it keeps my pearly whites, white and they hydrogen peroxide cleans out the yuckiness.
I love Crest Whitestrips and use them twice a year. They do make your teeth sensitive but there are a few tricks to help minimize that. First NEVER brush your teeth before you put them on. Brushing them right before you use them is a guarentee they will kill. Also switch to Sensodine toothpaste and a flouride mouthwash while using them.
My dentist says that for me, the Crest Strips work just as good as an in office whitening or at home professional trays would work. The first time I went to him he asked what whitening system I had done and he was shocked when I told him Crest Whitestrips..lol
I didn't like the whitestrips and plus my teeth are already so sensitive. I mix baking soda in my toothpaste and that can help a little.

Re: do you whiten your teeth?
I used some I got from the dentist once, but it's not recommended you use them often.
And for the record, the ones from the dentist did jack for my teeth.
