It was this summer at a local beach up here in Flin Flon....makes me smile because winter is getting too damn long up here. You're little cowboy is cute

I know what you mean, mine will be four pretty soon and I'm trying to curb the sass talk he's learning from daycare. Miss the days when he was tiny!
Sass talk from daycare?!?! What does he say? My daycare lady's kids are super behaved. I hope he doesn't come home with bad habits when he's older. I think Ry's going to be stubborn like me. Kinda scares me LOL.
It's quite a big day care, and he just back talks when I ask him something. The other day he yelled at me and said "I'm not grounded...you're gonna be grounded!" just stuff like that. I guess if thats the worst of it, it can't be too bad.

Sorry I'm all over the place tonight. Have you ever been here before? I know you'll be in Waikiki so you've got the shopping covered . Diamond Head's a good easy hike, the Pali Highway is a really pretty drive. There's also the Dole plantation, the Polynesian culture center(read: cool firedancing, but it's mainly a tourist attraction), some nice dinner cruises, and of course the Missouri, but then again I'm partial. If you've never been to one of the luaus Paradise Cove is a nice one. But they all serve kalua pig, so any of them are worth it.
I work in the social services field. I'd rather not say exactly what I do since there are tons of psycho's on lately.
lol That's why I asked what job do you do, was afraid if I said where you'd think I was a stalker. That must be a very hard job, and my hats off to those who can do it. I'm a lifeguard and a pool supervisor. In charge of pool maintance, lifeguard training, teach first aid, schedule lessons etc. I love it, so much fun every day!

That's pretty cool though, what kinds of things does your family like to do? Here there is a tonne of snow, so we go sliding and ski-dooing most weekends. Sometimes we go for walks in the bush to find animals, sometimes we find rabbits or maybe a moose!

We've been there before and did pretty much all the touristy stuff. We have a few new things planned but we've already done Dole, Poly Cult Ctr, Pearl Harbor/Missouri/Bowfin, North shore, Hike/waterfall swim, haunama bay etc so we have a lot of that out of the way. Pearl Harbor was sobering first cruise of the morning right around the time it happened, we were the first into the memorial and it was just so emotional.
I want to do some parasailing or hang-gliding or something crazy...we'll see.

You're a much more exciting person than I am. I don't even go to the beach-yeah I'm really that lame.
LOL Reallly?!?!?! I think i'd probably live at the beach if I lived over there. Give me a roller coaster or something wild and crazy and i'm on it. Haha. We have some friends that live over there so they're planning our first night's dinner which should be fun.
Night Callie! And yeah, right now I can blame my schedule (work nights, school full time during the day) but to be honest even if I wasn't in school I wouldn't go that often. I'm the poster child for hating Hawaii, but you can imagine the sympathy I get for it. Lots of smallest violins and all that.

LOL, i'm sure. I"m not actually sure I could live there either though. I wouldn't like feeling trapped and stuff. It's so small. I like to drive 6 hours or so for a weekend getaway and you can't even go that far there! LOL
Yeah once you've done all the tourist stuff the island fever sets in fast. I can't imagine anyone not loving a vacation here but to live here...::shudder:: I know I'm never coming back. Though when I'm 60 and winter freezes my bones I'll probably change my mind on that one. We plan our leave for winter so we can hit up the mainland for "real" seasons. Damn tropical monotony.
Oh and navy I would kill to live in hawaii! Dh and I are planning to retire in the Caribbean.
Lol don't do it!!! Invest in a vacation every few years and save your sanity. I'm amazed little Owen is sleeping for 6 hour stretches already! That's awesome!
Re: Any late night regulars left?
I will be on island this whole next week. I'm super stoked. DH and I were just looking up activities and restaurants.
Where was the beach siggy pic taken?
