Whoa, the drama just grew.  She requested off 3 weeks in August for her wedding (She doesn't have any vacation time yet and won't till November). 

It was denied.

Oh boy.

3 weeks? That's a lot of time. I requested 8 days off and that included my honeymoon.

well the wedding is out of state so she said she needed one week to finalize plans, then the week of the wedding, then a 10 day long honeymoon, she told future H it was denied and he had some choice words for her

Eeek.  She didn't mention that when she started?  I got married 6 months after I started here and I made it clear when I accepted the job that I would be gone for that week and another almost week for a friend's wedding a month later.

When I was offered my job, I made it clear that I was planning a wedding and would need 2 weeks off, before I could accept.   

She just started this job knowing she *might* not be able to get the time off?!

She said she mentioned it in the interview, but she didn't get an offer letter or anything in writing stating that it was ok.  I feel bad for her, but I also get that you can't take 3 weeks off of a new job.

I will add - I only took a week because I was at a new job, and one of those days was a paid holiday.  We waited a year to go on our honeymoon.

I feel sorry for this girl. Her F sounds like a douche.

I also feel sorry for her, and feel bad that I can't help.  It IS asking a lot but if she DID mention it at the interview and they said OK then, it's really crappy for them to deny it now.  That AND having a douchY fiance.
