Talk me down, ladies.
About 15 minutes ago I realized I have no idea how to care for a newborn, and then I cried because I can't imagine not spending all of my time with Baby Prepster.
This is NOT like me. I want to work. I want to get out of the house. I enjoy babies.
Re: I am having a pregnancy panic moment.
breathe.
you'll do fine.
Hang in there.

it's the Bug and Baby Belle!
The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
I'm sorry for the panic! We don't have any kids yet, so I can't speak from experience, but my best friend did call me several times near the end of her pregnancy with this same panic. I can tell you that as soon as her daughter arrived, she instantly became a spectacular mom. Seriously, she went from "I don't think I can do this" to "Would you please just get out of my way and let me do it myself thankyouverymuch" in about 0.002 seconds.
Hang in there!
Thanks, ladies.
I was watching Reba, and the daughter is pregnant with her second.
For some reason this caused me to panic.
Ah...hormones.
Oh yeah. Just don't think about the fact in a few weeks you will be in your THIRD TRI and before you know it, labor. Then you will bring the baby home.
Then what?
No one talks about what comes after that. They just say things like, "You'll know," or "You'll be so tired you won't notice."
I was gchatting earlier with a friend who has a 3 week old.
I told her I was worried about having a newborn.
Her response: "Don't worry. They don't know if you fvck up and put the diaper on backwards."
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I feel like time is moving so slow but also so fast.
Same here.
It is a very weird feeling.
This. And you'll continue to have "OMG, WTF am I doing?" moments up to and after you bring Baby Preppy home. But an instinct kicks in and you figure it all out. I was terrified at the idea of giving Gabe a bath, afraid he would slip and I would drop him. When the time came, I just did it and didn't even think twice about it.
