I think only feminine women can pull off short, short haircut like that without looking like a boy, hence why my hair will never be that short. Not that there's anything wrong with a woman looking boyish, but that cut doesn't look like boyish is the goal as much as chic is.

I think it has potential, but short cuts scare me because my hair would never go for it.

This. Though I will say, if you are still rocking the dark locks, you may want to highlight to show off the cut better. Choppy looks don't show as well with dark hair in my opinion.
