Babies on the Brain

I made a hair cut appointment tonight - HELP!

I need pictures. My hair is:

-THICK (as in a lot of it, not necessarily coarse)

-slightly naturally curly, but I can straighten it

I want it significantly shorter, but able to be put up, and something that I will actually wear down. The breakage from the ponytails and headbands I've been living in is BAD.

Ideas???

  • That sounds like my hair.  I have no suggestions though.  Everytime I try something new or different I end up hating it.

  • Helpful, Armondos.

    I'm thinking something like this:

But do you think my face is too round?

  • I love Reese.

I would say your face isn't too round but you can angle it down a little bit more to fix that. Just don't have it coming right under your jawline and chin because that would accentuate the round face.

  • Sounds like my hair. It's naturally wavy/ not really curly and thick, but I straighten it everyday. I usually get this cut bc it is super cute styled and very versatile.

  • Sorry Embarrassed  If it makes you feel better, I really was googling for pictures to PIP.  I have one on my computer at home that I'm thinking of.

Gorgeous...but I'm not a very good styler. Can I handle it?

  • I just straighten mine adn leave it uncurled lol. It's layered so it still looks like I put effort into it.

  • Sounds like we're in sort of the same boat. I have naturally curly hair, but mine isn't all that thick. I've taken to cutting mine just above my shoulders, but this means I have to straighten it every day (or look like a poodle). I was really worried about this at first, but I just

    1. use a little "root-lifter" spray and then

    2. dry it in sections over a round brush. It seems like, because my hair is naturally curly, it will accept whatever shape the round brush gives it (so it wouldn't be hard to get Jessica whatever-her-name-is's style on her ends).

    3. After it's all styled, I just spray a little light control hairspray over the whole thing to keep the fly-aways and static to a minimum.

The whole thing takes about 10 minutes.

  • I like the Reese cut, but angle it a little so it is longer in the front. Not the super angle where they have to shave your neck, but enough to show the difference. I had this cut for a while and LOVED it. Works with or without bangs.
