Anyone recover and paint a glider?

We have an old glider downstairs in our guest room that I used occasionaly while breastfeeding my son (we have a rocking chair in his room). I would like to put it in the nursery for my daughter, but am not sure how to go about this. What do I have to do? Are there any guides/web sites that could help me?
