S is pulling herself forward from a sitting position getting into the crawling position. No crawling yet but I'd say within a month. Sleeping is on the FRITZ. Old trustees like the stroller or car rides have lost their zest. I'm going a little nuts and need to blame it on something...makes me feel better!
Re: Does starting a new skill = no sleep?
Aw, go Sydney!!
Yeah it sounds crazy but I think the thought is the babes are *so* excited about their new skill they have a hard time sleeping. Or something goofy like that. So go ahead and blame away...I always blame teething. Makes me feel better too.
Hope she gets back on her regular sleeping track soon.
Teething is my backup excuse ;-) That could very well be the culprit as well but I've been blaming everything on that for MONTHS now with now tooth so I've had to move on to my next story!
Yup, developmental milestones = screwed up sleep.
Some call it the "Wonder Weeks" (link)
and here is an article on AskMoxie about "sleep regressions"
Good luck muddling through. I remember how stinkin hard that was. And damn it is LONELY at 3am when it is just you and babe in the darkness.
