    Jeesh. Why does it seem like things like this always happen from my home state? Seriously. I'm from TN originally, and I'm well-educated and I have a great job and I have all my teeth and I didn't marry (or have sex with) my brother. I defend people from the south against stereotypes, and then things like this happen.

    Could you cut a girl a break, Memphis?

    Speaking of, how about that guy yesterday who sat across from a school and open fired on kids wiht a highpowered rifle?

    People are insane.

    My point exactly.  Nothing in the report I posted said the woman was missing teeth, uneducated or didn't have a job.

    How about the professor who went on a shooting spree a few weeks back? She was very educated.

    I think she was just saying that is the stereotype in the rest of the country. I feel the same way about SC. It has such a bad reputation, so I hate when things make national news b/c it makes others think their image of the State is correct.

    I didn't call anyone a white trash hillbilly. I'm from the south as well, so it's the last thing I'd ever do. In fact, I fight tooth and nail to defend myself and other southerners against the prejudices I run up against in other parts of the country.

    I realize that crazy stuff happens everywhere. It just makes me want to slap my forehead when I hear about stuff like this happening at the place that I'm trying to let everyone know isn't like the stereotypes that they've heard.

    I apologize for taking it wrong.  We do have a bad rep as well as other states.
