Is it normal that my past few temps have all been the same, or do I need a new thermometer?

Try taking your temp at another time in the day.  If the temp is still the same change the battery.  Otherwise it should be working.

I've had that happen too.  It's early in your cycle so I wouldn't worry too much.

I wouldn't worry about it yet. My body likes to hover around teh same temp. I do recommend taking your temp at a different time today to see if it changes though. Just ot make sure its not your battery dying.
