I have an appt tomorrow with my midwife, and the office told me it was just a "routine check-up". What do these appts normally consist of, other than taking my blood pressure and weight? I know later on there will be various types of fetal monitoring, but I'm curious about what happens this early. I know there won't be an u/s, but will they do anything to check on the baby, like check its heartbeat? I should add that I've already have my initial appt and an ultrasound. Thanks in advance!
Re: What do early "routine" appts consist of?
is this your first appt? if not, all the appts are basically the same until about 36 weeks.
weight, BP, pee on a stick to check for protein/sugar. listen for HB on doppler. Do you have any questions?
if not, see you in 4 weeks!!
my appts were about 5-10 mins depending on my questions.
