Plants and babyproofing?

I'm a green thumb so I have some beautiful plants - some that I have had for years and years so I really don't want to throw away my plants.  Now that DG is creeping and sorta crawling I really need to do something about the plants.  What did you do with yours?  I don't have family in the area to "lend" for awhile and to take them to work would involve a special trip via car since I live in DC and commute by the Metro (subway) but I could do that I guess.  I am not sure about putting plants up on a table (I wouldn't have enough tables!) or a bookshelf type thing...they could fall on her, right?  Suggestions?
