bored at work

i am working 6 to close tonight. usually we close at 12 but i am praying we can close at 11 tonight. it has been 4.5 hours and i have had 4 tables.. 8 whole customers. the last table came in a little before 830(2 hours ago). i brought a book to read but i just cant get into it. i am the only server left on now.. so its even more boring. blah. anyone around?

My sister and I were at Target around 8:30/9:00 and there were maybe 5 people in the store. What is everyone doing tonight? It's like a ghost town out.

so.... my manager said we were closing att 1130.. thats all fine and good.. until some guys decided to come in at 11:10... and seem to not notice they are the only people in the place. i am gonna be here past 12.

Haha.. Nah.. They actually ended up being kind of nice and I liked them.. and they DID (At least one of them) realized they were keeping me there, so they paid pretty promptly even though they were hanging out for awhile.. It worked out ok.. plus they had a big bill, and since I only had 5 tables TOTAL the whole night, their tip increased my total earnings for the night by about 50%.. so thats worth staying an extra half hour..
