Do you put beans in your chili?

I am making chili for dinner. DH's cousin just stopped over to pick up some books and she asked what I was making and I told her chili and she said she has never heard of chili with beans.

I know I have heard of it, but I always put beans (light and dark kidney beans) in it.

I always put beans in chili.  Red & white kidney beans, chick peas, and black beans. Beef and tomatoes, green peppers and onions.  What DOES she put in chili if she doesn't put beans in it?

Yup. As a matter of fact, sometimes I make my chili with only beans, no meat.

I have had chili with coffee in it.  It deepens the flavor and is good.  I've had it with chocolate too.

I put beans in mine, but I have heard that "real" chili doesn't have beans in it.

Always. I usually make vegetarian chili and how can you make a vegetarian chili without beans?

I put chili beans and kidney beans.  When I make Cinn. Style Chili I put unsweetened choc. in it.  Sounds weird but soooo good!!

Yep, chili beans and kidney beans...sometimes others if I have them.  We like beans and they add even more protein.

What's in chili without beans?  Today I made white chili with white beans but I usually make black bean chili.
