When did you tell?

My husband and I just found out we are having twins!  Wow, this one still hasn't hit!  We are 8 weeks along and want to know when you began to tell.  We don't want to jinx ourselves and get ahead of things but we are so excited!  Also, ALL of our friends are pregnant and it would be great to get some advice.  What do you think?   THanks for you help!

We told everyone around 11 or 12 weeks (though family knew sooner).

We told my parents at 7w and the ILs at 8w.  Other immediate family (siblings) found out around 12w.  We still haven't told extended family and my co-workers are just starting to notice that something's up with my big, ol' belly.  We're ultra-convservative though... after 4 previous losses we're still not 100% confident, even now.

We told early, like 7-8 weeks or so.  I had horrible morning sickness that impacted my life big time and we had to cancel double dates, playdates, etc. and I was out of work for a month so I just told people why.  I also can't keep secrets and was so shocked by the fact that we were having twins that I was kind of bursting to tell folks!

Immediate family knew sooner and were sworn to silence... we announced after the NT scan at around 13 weeks.

We told immediate family right away.  I also told my coworkers around 8 weeks because we were all really close. Extended family didn't find out until 12 weeks after the NT scan.

Just don't want you to get the rude comments I did.... I was excited to share, and actually had people start in with their rude comments.

"oh, are you having twins because you used Clomid or something?"

"Good luck with that.  you will never get any sleep"

"why are you having twins? did you have a procedure?"  (this was a sister-in law) and she asked it in front of 14 family members at a restaurant.

"Thank God it's not triplets."  (my sister) 

I was pregnant w/3 and the 3rd baby did not make it.  She made the triplet comment after I told her I lost the 3rd baby.    I just share my story so you know what some ppl may say.  Hopefully all that you share your news with will be wonderful and supportive.  Congratulations to you!!

We told our parents when we found out at 7 weeks, the rest of the family at 12 weeks and everyone else at about 16 weeks, no hiding it then

We told at about 8-10 weeks.  I found out I was pg 2 weeks PO, found out it was triplets about 4 weeks PO, and was told not to say anything to anyone until an u/s at 8 weeks proved all embryos were viable.  I didn't want to tell that soon but I was already showing, and with having triplets I was out of the office every other day for an appointment, and everyone was like, "FESS UP!!!"  LOL
