Travel system vs. Graco stroller frame

Which do you recommend?  How long do babies ride in their infant carrier.  Thanks!

I loved my graco travel system. My LO was in the infant carrier til about 8 months old and it was so worth it to have the stroller to clip the carrier into bc mine fell asleep everytime we got in the car. The only drawback is that the stroller is SOOO heavy! getting it in and out of the car was so frustrating. There wer times that I wished i had the frame instead. But at the same time we didnt have to buy another stroller (until we went on vaca at which time we got the umbrella stroller for easy travel.. diff topic) and the stroller has awesome storage!!

i have a graco snap and go and a graco travel system. i got the snap and go because the stroller was soooo dam heavy!! i used the snap and go for atleast 3.5 full months

  i just went and bought a city mini to replace my graco stroller i and i love it!! its soo small i keep the snap and go and city mini in my small honda civic truck!

 

i wish i never got the graco stroller im trying to sell it now!

I have both, and I highly recommend starting with the stroller frame.  Then you can get the stroller you want later.  My son was in his infant seat until he was 9 months, but I believe most kiddos are in them for close to a year. 

P.S. I found my stroller frame on Craig's List for about $30.   I would check there.

love love love my graco stroller frame. it's small, works great in crowded stores and is easy to lift in and out of my car even 2 weeks after my c-section.
