18 week ultrasound and Low Cervix??

I had my 18 week ultrasound on thursday.  Baby was extremely cute!!!  He (I don't know the gender but I'm saying he) had his fingers in a fist and his thumb stuck out and was bringing it to his mouth but then put his fist under his chin instead.  Then he was laying there all relaxed with an arm tucked behind his head exactly how I was laying!!  And, as if the whole chugging a litre of water in 10 minutes, holding it for an hour, and holding it during the exam wasn't enough, the tech showed me that the little bugger was kicking me in the bladder!!!  Although the ultrasound was absolutely amazing it also made me worried.  The tech said my cervix is low and that I may need another one done around 35 weeks.  She said there's probably nothing to worry about but I don't know.  My doc's appointment isn't till this thursday.  Does anyone know what a low cervix could mean?  TIA!!

Placenta Previa, I was diagnosed with this at my 20 week ultrasound....was put on pelvic rest for 4 weeks until my 24 week appt and went back had another ultrasound and the placenta had moved away. So everything is fine now.  This early in the pregnancy your chances of it moving are like 90% so it is in your favor of moving.  If it does not move for some reason then it is a mandatory c-section...and they may put you on pelvic rest for the rest of your pregnancy to avoid bleeding.  I wouldn't worry to much until you talk to your doctor even if it is placenta previa....you still have plenty of time for it to move! And then I just re-read your post and it said cervix not placenta...haha sorry I don't know if this is the same thing or not! but GL
