I'm doing the wheatgrass now, too, and seem to be stimming slower. From my previous 2 IUIs I was expecting to have the IUIs on CD10/11. But yesterday on CD9, my follies were from 16-12. Went in this AM for another US. I'm hoping for the best but have a feeling I won't be doing the IUI until maybe CD 12/13? I'm trying to blame it on the wheatgrass and not the fact that I'm older than last time I did IUI!!
yeah, well, I'm done with that effing WG. If my E2 was higher, then I would state "oh, I'm cooking slower better eggs" but that's LOW. I usually would have had my IUI by now too, so yeah....
WG slows you down. I say. That's hard, cuz we're OOP for meds and I'm using a LOT more than I usually would have.
uugh.
GL on your cycle, btw! we'll obsess together these next 2 weeks, k? ;-)

Interesting question Davez. I used it on my follistim cycle with Andrea and not only did I go slowly (IMO) but I also stalled out and my E2 just dropped spontaneously...they basically canceled me and instead of an IUI I did TI. But anyhow...ya, to answer your question it slowed me down. But maybe it did make better eggs somehow. Thinking of you and I'm sorry that this cycle is effing with you.

I will share with you my only experience with WG. I took it religiously for a month before IVF #2.. and when I went in for my CD3 baseline, wasn't I surprised that my FSH was the highest it had ever been! Now, could it be a coincidence... probably but I was like WTF?
Now, I did stim for a day longer that cycle than I did for IVF #1. Basically got the same amount of follies annd then eggs and then embryos and had the same amount to freeze.
I did have 2 m/c as a result of that cycle, but when I went to do a FET the three we thawed survived ( for FET # 1, 5 out of 7 did not survive the thaw) and I finally got a sticky BFP.
So, I guess in some ways the quality was better... but I have no idea what to attribute it to. Not even sure this response is entirely helpful, but thought I would share.

WTF????!! Where the hell was all this "it slowed me down" advice when I was researching starting it???!!! ack!
I can't find ANYTHING online that suggests this, but hello, sure seems like it slows you down.

You know, I didn't think about it, but I did stim slower my second IVF, which was the one I did WG. It may have been slower but I got much better embryo quality. I can't remember the exact percentages, but the second IVF out of 7 embryos we transferred three really good ones and froze two really good ones.
Hopefully its a good sign:)

i did wheat grass pills the cycle I got pg with the twins- everythign happened in the same timeframe as it did in cycles without WG.... but it was the only cycle I got two mature follies on IUI day - so IMO, it "worked"... not that i was trying for twins- but it did a good job giving me healthy eggs!
I'm not kidding, I have spent TONS of time trying to find medical stuff that says it slows you down, and I can't. nothing negative about WG. on boards or medical journal stuff (I have access b/c of Davez)
But I've done the SAME stims 3 times now, and NEVER been so slow. So of course I think my ovaries are turned off from the abuse. Which is possible.
Good thing I'm taking this next cycle off to get ready for Costa Rica! ;-)

Yeah, I don't think it slowed me down. During the cycle that I was taking wheatgrass juice, I ended up with 22 Fertilized and Mature Eggs and they froze 5 ... The cycles without wheatgrass I had 8 each.
I wasn't concerned with slowing down ... just quality. I think I got some high-quality eggs from that last cycle.

I'm sorry Davez I don't know that it did slow me down though ya know? I had nothing to compare it to. My ovaries never got off the bench in my two Clomid cycles so having any follies at all was an improvement. But it did make a good egg... I'm sorry thought that this cycle has been such a cluster for you.

Hypothyroid, LPD, FSH 13.0, TTC 2 yrs B4 BFP
TTC #2: FSH 23, AMA, IUI 1, 2, 3 = BFN, IVF #1 = MC
IVF #2 = BFP - Betas 194 (14dp2dt), 366 (16 dp2dt), 841 (18 dp2dt)

if it makes you feel better it didn't make a difference in my stimmimg.
I did have a lower fsh and better quality eggs (also took dhea.) who knows...
