I'm not usually an envious person. I don't usually wish for things other people have, or feel bitter at them for having at what I don't. But when it comes to sleeping at night, I get very jealous and even a little angry, My daughter has Never slept through the the night, never woke up only once, or even twice or three times. She is awake grunting and fussing and whining for hours every night since the day she was born. Never gets better, and often gets worse. When I see someone who's LO woke up once to eat and they are so tired I feel a little annoyed. Ok that's all for my vent/confession. Hopefully soon I can just be happy for those people with sleeping babies.

Re: My Friday Confession
I hear ya! I hate hate hate when people complain of being tired! I work full time, and am up at least 3 times per night with my LO. Our friends have a 2 month old. (Her husband is good friends with DH). They have a NIGHT NURSE during the week. Her DH does night duties on the weekends. Therefore, she never misses a full night of sleep. She does not work, never has, and her husband does all of the cleaning and housework. I have a really hard time biting my tongue when she says "I know how you feel" when I complain of tiredness.
A night nurse? Best thing I ever heard of, too bad we could never afford one! Ahhh but the thought is pure bliss. DD is a decent sleeper, I am up at least twice a night but I don't work either right now. She also gets up at 5:30 for the day but she goes to bed around 5:30pm. So it could be way worse. She just started sleeping better recently so there is hope. I would have to say the hardest thing about having a baby is the sleep issue. I never realized how miserable sleep deprivation is.
Haha I hear ya. DS is sleeping better (I am so afraid to say this outloud or put it in writing - don't want to jinx it!) but man I would get so bitter when I would hear moms complain about getting up once or twice with a 3 month old or when posts say something like, "My baby slept through the night since 3 weeks now is getting up once- help!" I felt zero sympathy. Haha, bitter right?
Oh, and OP that is crazy about your friend with a night nurse - who does that????
