Those were a staple of mine in high school and as someone who teaches high school, they are still rocking them out...not as much as those 90's grunge years, though.
If I didn't live in the Pacific Northwest where it rained a bunch, I would probably still be rocking them...and I'm 30 (grew up in FL).
Ha. FI and I still wear ours, high and low tops. They're classic. I heart my Chucks, I really do. FI is 30, and I'm 22, a few hours north of Seattle, near the city of Vancouver, FWIW.
I think so, which is too bad because I really like the look of converse, but I think they should be worn only by kids. They just look a little silly on adults, in my opinion. Maybe if you just wear them around the house or when you are trying to be reeeeeaaally casual maybe it would be appropriate. I'm sure my son will be wearing them in years to come.

I bet no one would agree with my, but I think CROCS even more so than converse should be for kids only. I cringe when I see an adult walk by in lime green crocs.
Ali was wearing a pair on the Bachelor last Monday
I don't know if they're my style... but I think they're cute. I would probably wear them running errands on the weekends or something, just not to work, no matter how casual dress it might be.

Converse are actually the only sneakers I own. Sneakers are NMS but Converse are comfy and cute. Now if they were pink or some other ridiculous color, yes that would be high schoolish. And pretty much everyone wears Converse in NYC.

I agree with you on the Crocs! DH wears them to work so I get to make fun of him (he works in a hospital). As far as Converse, I'm still rocking them. I live in CA and I see many many adults still wear them. I'm 33 and wore them in high school too. My 12 year old niece just took off with a pair of mine and I had to get a new pair.

DH and MurphyLove both have a pair (both turquoise) and I think they look equally adorable in them. I'm just too cheap to spend the $ one ones for myself.

I LOVE my crocs, but I opted for a brown pair so they are low profile. I think the bright colors do make them look like they are kidish.
I have that pair actually and I wear them on a daily basis. Completely unintentional but DH has the black and white high-tops and I have the low-tops. I love my Chucks!!
I don't think they're high schoolish as long as you're dressing your age. I just wear them with jeans and a tee, I'm not trying to look like "punk" like some high school kids.
Re: NBR: Are these shoes high schoolish or not?

Um.. I think maybe. My friend who works in a local?shoe store would wear them now maybe, but I probably wouldn't have even worn them in high school.?
