Any thoughts on the Safety 1st Complete Air Convertible Car Seat?

My DH loves this car seat but I can't find anything on it ... anyone have good or bad experience with it?

If you chose something else what did you go with?

Re: Any thoughts on the Safety 1st Complete Air Convertible Car Seat?

  • I don't know.

I know that in the previous Baby Bargain's book (not the most recent, but the one written in 2008) had Safety 1st carseats at a D rating.

But that could have easily changed & I think that was for their infant seat.

  • It seems like a nice carseat and I can definatly see that it's safe. However, I imagine that as the child gets older they would feel really confined by the things on both sides of their head. It would be uncomfortable for them to look around and ect. If I'm going to spend over 200.00 on a carseat, I want DS to be comfortable in it for a long time.

  • I think that's the one that only harnesses to 50 pounds, am I right?

We prefer seats with higher harnessing weights.  I'm looking at a Sunshine Kids Radian 80 for DD because it rear faces to 45 pounds.  I think the seat also can use LATCH up to 80 pounds, which is a huge deal since most can't use LATCH after about 45-50 pounds.
