Did the little girl you nanny for learn the difference between lose and loose? Everytime those words pooped up over the last week, I thought about you guys!
Yes! She did. Somehow it clicked in her head between Tuesday night and Wednesday when I got her from the bus stop. We still worked on it a little because she was going solely on sound and didn't have the meanings down pat but I think she got it.
I took a piece of paper today and wrote:
lose = lost
and then drew a picture of two balloons (someone suggested that), one kinda almost floating away and wrote "l" on one side and "se" on the other and then drew just one balloon and wrote "l" and "st" on either side. She stuffed it in her folder so she can look at it during study time in the morning before her test.
Yay! That is a hard one to learn! Good job YOU and her!
P.S. I LOVE the quote in your siggy. I'm the biggest Emily Giffin fan. I went to one of her signings for The One Not Taken and I can NOT wait for Heart of the Matter to come out in May. Love her!

Thank you!
And I'm pretty excited for her new book too.
