I dont understand why people are so grossed out by breast milk but find it completely normal to drink cow milk daily.

Cow milk comes from a breast too. Why is it nasty when it comes from a human one?

ITA. The fact that we're okay drinking milk from a cow but grossed out by breast milk is beyond me. I try to get DH to explain that to me all the time. It's gross coming from me, but it is just FINE coming from Bessy out in the pasture??

Because we already eat cow parts so that's just another part of it.  We don't eat people......or at least I don't eat people.  Can't speak for the rest of y'all.

*shrugs* I don't really get it, either. Neither does my husband, and frankly we're not all that wild about cow milk, either.

Yeah I don't get it either. I guess because cows are considered solely a food source and breasts aren't.

I read this to DH and said, "This is why I ::dies:: at the bump, hun". Seriously though, it's the hilarious comments like this that make this site so interesting.

I made a post like this months ago, when I was still on 0-3. 

It's amazing how cows' boobs are less disgusting than human ones because everyone loves to drink their milk, which by the way is destined to said cow's LO, not to humans.

  First of all, I don't really like cow's milk either.  Second of all, the warm temp. is odd to me.  Third, the fat sitting at the top weirds me out (when it's in the fridge).  People can't help what grosses them out. We all have odd things that bother us.

I don't get it either. I have tried my BM (just a few drops) and so has dh. If you feed your lo that, why do you think it's gross?

Yeah the fat rising to the top is pretty weird. But when I lived in England, milk was delivered to our house in the old school bottles and the fat rose to the top of those too.

It could have to do with the fact that cow's milk is pasteurized and therefore considered more clean to some. Also, most people don't think about where their food comes from.
