I have the LL Bean ones, which are similar, though I think a little wider, rather than tall. I have the extra large, one for each of us. We use them as laundry bags and when we go on car trips. I just throw everything from toys to clothes for each person into it and the 4 of them fit nearly in the back of our car. It is easy to find things in them when you get to your destination. I also have a medium as a library bag.
I love any kind of bag from Land's End. I had a canvas briefcase that I carried daily for 6 years and it just wouldn't die. I gave it to my ex as a lapton case.
I have a Land's End Do It All diaper bag that has been through 2 kids and looks like new. I am using it as a knitting bag.
I have a large boat tote, and that's wonderful too.
I can't say enough good things about their bags.

yes, i love them. They are better than ll bean IMO because they have a front pocket and inside pockets.
Each child has a medium one for daycare where i put their lunch, extra clothes, blankets, bottles, etc. They zipper.
I also have a large and an extra large zippered tote. They come in such cute colors. I use them as a giant diaper bag when we go places for the day/night. I definitely recommend the zipper top ones, although i have one giant one with no zipper that i bring to the beach with us.
I love them! I have a small one that ends up being my purse 99% of the time so I can throw diapers/extra outfits in it, and I have a large one that I use to bring water/etc. to work each day. It is also awesome for bringing toys to the cabin, etc.
thanks for the replies. I can't decide between medium and large. It would be used to cary work out clothes and a text book or two or sometimes clothes and stuff for dd and next kid when we have one. I want enough room for these things but not super bulky.

I have a few of the zippered totes - I think we use the large one for pool stuff, and I love it. It's perfect, actually.
I keep meaning to buy more.
