I read Sleepeasy and another book that suggested using a lovey. We have a very small blanket that was a gift for LO that has minky fabric on one side and a silky fabric on the other, and it's about 12 inches by 12 inches. I slept on it and give it to him to hold while he's nursing so that it has a familiar scent, and I want to give it to him to nap/sleep with it, but I don't know that it's really safe yet. The book says it is fine as long as you can breathe through it when it's balled up over your face, and I can, and I know LO always has his hands free to pull it away, but I'm still unsure. Does your LO have a lovey yet?
Re: Does your LO have a "lovey"?
No lovey, but I do give him a burp rag to hold. At night, I take it out of the crib after he's fallen asleep.
