We took DD into the pedi when she was a month old with a cold... the only things they recommened was using "Little Noses" spray and the sucker thing, and running a cool mist humidifier. The rest of it was "good luck!" But if it goes on for more than a few days or to the point you are really concerned I'd schedule an appt.
If she's having trouble sleeping because of coughing or a stuffy nose, you can also either have her sleep in her carseat (to keep her head elevated) or tilt her mattress - some cribs give you the option, or you can place books under the mattress to elevate her head. GL!
saline as needed, but no more than every 2 hours, humidifier or steam baths. We have been using the johnsons bath stuff with the vapors in it and it clears DD up good right before bed. It smells pretty nice too.

My ds had a chest cold around 4mo and it lasted 11days. We never took him to the dr. We used baby vicks, sat him in a bouncy chair in the bathroom with tons of steam to loosen mucus, saline solution in his nose & suctioned out snot. Also did extra feeds (ebf) because he wouldnt eat alot at once since he couldnt breathe out of his nose. I think thats all we did, we cant do much for a cold and cant use cough syrup for coughs. Hope your lo feels better soon!

Vick's has a vaporizer that doesn't use water- I can't think of the name right now. It has some wafer-type things you put in it, plug it in and it smells up the room. There's a baby version, since mentholatum (sp?) isn't good for them. It helped DS a lot. We also did steam showers and nasal aspirator. GL!!!
