Spelling fail

Just facebook stalking my 15 year old cousin.  I've heard her talk about her "bestie" many times, but I just now saw how her name was spelled.

 Megkinize. 

Pronounced Mackenzie.  To me it looks like it should rhyme with "recognize".  Horrible, IMO.

Yuck. I used to like the name MacKenzie but I feel like there are SO MANY butchered spellings.  Anna and Josh Duggar have a Mackynzie (or something like that). bleck.
