Babies: 3 - 6 Months

This time next week,

I'll be dropping my students off at their special of the day.  Then I'll be running my buns around the whole school.  I'll be trying to get everything done so I can leave at 3:30 to go home to Lovebug.

Ugh...Why couldn't DH be a millionaire when I met him?

  •   I daydream regularly about winning the lotto and SAH with DD.  We're on pace financially for me to do it once LO #2 arrives (not for at least a year), but until then...it's hard.  I know it's hard work being home all day with a baby, but it's so much more rewarding to me than my job.  I don't hate my job, but it's not what I want to do if there's an option of being with Nora.  Good luck.  I hope the transition is as smooth as can be.  It wasn't horrible for me, but it took a good 2 weeks before I figured out a morning routine that involved me getting out the door on time.  (Sadly, it also involves a 5 am wakeup time).
  • I've been waking up w/ DD at 5 for the past two weeks.  She takes a quick bottle and goes back down to about 8:30.  Now, I go back to bed.  Next week, I'm going to get ready and go in early.  Hopefully, I'll get my stuff done during that time so I can leave right away.

The kicker is, I probably won't even have this job next year.  That makes it even HARDER.

  • Hi! I remember that you are a teacher. I am as well. It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be returning to work.I stay so busy with my students that the day goes quickly for me. I really look forward to my pumping breaks because it helps me feel like I am still taking care of LO. I get up at 5 every morning as well to get everything done. Best wishes to you!
