DD's BG 3.0OS are on their last leg. We're stripping them today and if it doesn't solve our leakage problem, I'm going to buy some new ones. I don't imagine she will be using them more than 6 months, so I'm looking for a cheap option. They don't need to be one size and I think I'd prefer not to do pockets again...maybe a fitted or a AIO instead.
What's the best CD for a potty-learning toddler?
Re: Need CD recs
Ari is not potty learning but I've tried several brands of fitteds.
We use mostly Green Sprouts during the day. They are really trim & fairly inexpensive. We also have some B4s & GMs, but they are pricier. At night we use BSRB & a wool soaker.
We do have a few pockets that we use for out & about & daytime use. We have Green Acre Designs with the bamboo inner. I use a hemp prefold as an insert. I've never had to strip & haven't had leakage issues unless he's sleeping on his side for a long time, but we don't really use them for naps anyway.
We augmented DS's supply of BG's with 6 kissaluvs fitteds, a Thirsties fitted and 2 Thirsties covers. Not as cheap as using PF's, but much more user friendly yet still cheaper than the BG's.
eta: Totally not paying attention and missed the potty-training toddler bit
Have been looking at Little Beetles(think that's what they're called) and Imse Vimse for once we start potty training DS.

Thanks stever. I didn't mean PT as in we need potty pants -- she's not ready to jump to those FT, I just added it because we need something we can get off quickly/easily and to emphasize that I doubt she will be wearing them long so I don't really want to pay $18/diaper.
? about fitteds, do you always need a cover with them?
i really like our grobaby (those andour fuzzibunz) the insert snap in and they have a biodegradable option insert as well.
it's worth looking at:

Short answer yes. Long answer - some very absorbent fitteds can be worn for awhile w/o a cover around the house & this is a nice way to have air out time.
We use Imse Vimse & Gen Y covers. Imse Vimse covers are velcro so that should be quick & easy to get on & off.
ETA: I know you said you weren't thinking of doing pockets again, but the place I bought my GADs from (Pittsburgh Cloth Diapers) mentions using them like pull ups while potty learning. Not trying to sway you, as I love fitteds, but just a thought.
Indeed. I've found that they can get pretty wet, but not so wet that they'd destroy furniture. Just wet enough that it'd be messy if you were out and about.

I love my sposo-easies - for an AIO they dry really well and since they're 100% cotton, none of the stinkies that come with BGs.
For PLing, I've found dipes with side snaps help a lot because she can stand up while I put the dipe on her. This company is local to me and fairly inexpensive. I like them because they're thick fleece and when we're at home and working on PLing, she wears them with no insert. The fleece is thick enough to absorb little pee accidents and the side snaps make them really easy to put on standing up.
