How big is your maternity wardrobe?! i was a clothes horse before and now I can't stop looking online for stuff! it gets boring wearing the same stuff every week!
I remember this being hard last time! I had a decent amount of tops, but rotated pairs of black and khaki pants for work, and a pair of jeans for weekends. This time I'll be pregnant through the summer, so I think my work wordrobe will include some sundresses/skirts and definitely shorts/capris for weekends!
I only have a couple pairs of pants that I rotate. I wear scrubs to work, so I don't have to buy a lot of bottoms. And I come home and put on sweats/jammies. I put scrubs with a t-shirt, so I can wear those to work or on the weekends. I don't plan on buying a lot.
My winter wardrobe is pretty slim pickings.. I have just a few sweaters that are long enough to cover the belly.. I did get about five pairs of maternity pants that I will wear through the end (although some are wool.. but my office is cold). I did get a bunch of dresses and lighter sweaters, button downs, etc. b/c I'm anticipating needing more for the spring summer. I hate winter clothes anyway so I didnt want to get too much. Trying to avoid spending any more money on myself at this point.. since I will have "new" things to wear once the weather turns.. and since now I'd much rather buy little baby things!
I'm definitely the same but I've been trying to buy just 1 or 2 pieces at a time. I've been able to get away with wearing most of of my pp tops but for comfort's sake, the most I've bought so far are maternity pants. I have about 3 pairs of work pants that I rotate and 3 pairs of jeans (but only 2 that I wear regularly). Just ordered a couple of dresses and a sweater with my gap coupon codes so I can't wait to get those and mix things up a bit!
I'm trying to hold out a little and stock up more when the weather turns warm, but it's getting hard!
I'm a clothes (and shoes) hound, too, so I've been feeding my craving by hitting the sales racks at Target, ON and H&M. At least if I can have a variety of tops, I'll feel a little better.
I have one pair of dress mat pants, and two pairs of jeans. I've only bought one maternity top and everything else is my regular stuff. Some of my stretchy pants still fit though. It does get boring wearing the same stuff, but I'm not about to buy out the entire store. I'll buy more pieces as needed.
I think I'll have quite a bit by the end. I am the same as you and love clothes. I take pride in my appearance and know that it makes me feel good to look put together. I think that is even more important when going through all the changes that happen with pregnancy.
So, to finally answer your question, I am sure my wardrobe will be quite big in the end. I am however trying to shop smart. I have bought a lot of dresses that can see me through the whole pregnancy (all have empire waists and give in the fabric but not all are maternity). I am trying to buy, non-maternity tops that work for this early stage but also won't look ridiculous to wear after the baby is born - I am loving non-maternity cardigans and vests at the moment.
For the maternity items I have found some great stuff, at VERY affordable prices on ebay and will continue to scout there.
I don't have any maternity clothes for the winter season. I work out of my home, and on the weekends I just wear my belly band with regular pants. I try not to spend a lot of money on maternity clothes in general because I only wear them for 4 months.
I probably have too many, but it's hard. I tried to stick with basic pants and get more of a variety of tops. BUT if I see something on sale I buy it. I would like to be pregnant more than once so hopefully I will get use out of them!
Basics to me: dress slacks in gray, black, tan, dark brown, less dressy pants like khaki or cords in a few colors, and a few pair of jeans.
I am not sure how many tops I have but a couple of sweaters, 3/4 sleeve, and short sleeve. Then basic black and white under shirts tank top and long sleeve. I am still mainly wearing regular shirts so I haven't really needed many maternity tops yet.
Oh yeah and a few dresses of course!

I work in an office with a professional dress code, but there was no way i was buying expensive maternity suits. I have 3 pairs of dress pants (black, brown and gray) that I rotate and probably way too many tops! But I have been buying everything on sale/clearance and trying to add in some of my non maternity tops as well. I also am a big fan of non-maternity cardigans, with a cute top underneath it can dress up an outfit, plus will fit after baby is here too.
Re: sorry, one more maternity clothes question!
