We have a huge consignment sale here twice a year. I'm going to go to the one in two weeks, and then the next one is before school starts. I've heard that all the stuff is really nice, and lightly (or not even) used. All the people I know that participate in it are people I would be thrilled to get things from.
Anyway, have any of you shopped events like this? Do you have any recommendations for things that are perfectly acceptable to buy on consignment, or things that I should buy new?
I want to look for big things, like a stroller, car seat, bouncy chairs, etc... kind of anything but clothes at this point. Oh, they also have maternity clothes, so I'm excited about that.
Re: Advice about kid consignment sales?
I went to a consignment sale a while back and thought it was great. Then I found super sales at places like Children's place where the prices were better than the consignment sale.
Now I watch for sales and stuff on craigslist. The deals were much, much better than that of the consignment sale
The consignment sale I sometimes go to does a half price day the last day of the sale. The prices are dirt cheap this day. Not sure if yours does this or not, but you might want to check it out.
