What size for summer?

I want to start buying for summer because of gymborees sale they are having for the next week I think it is but not sure on what size to buy. I'm thinking 12-18months. Have any of you started buying for summer? And if so what sizes? Right now LO is in so many different sizes depending on the brand.

I haven't started buying yet.  There will always be another sale, and DD is so unpredictable with her growth spurts.  For me there is no point.  If your LO is more on an even keel as it were, you could.  12 to 18 months would probably be good.

For gymboree and my LO in particular, 6-12 and maybe a few 12-18.  3-6 is too big on him. 

If in doubt, get bigger sizes

I was just in Hawaii where of course, there was a ton of summer clothing. There were sales there too so I bought 12-18month stuff for my LO.

DS is just starting to wear size 6-9, at least the ones that he doesn't swim in.  So I am buying size 12 for summer.
